The grapes for this wine come from fine, old vineyards around Langenlois and nearby areas such as Zöbing, Gobelsburg, Schitern and Mollands. Both young and old vines for the wine grow in loess, gravelly, and gneiss soils. This Zweigelt Rosé owes its intense, gleaming pink color to its 12 hours of maceration. But a part was created through whole cluster pressing and by the saignée, or bleeding method. The rosé was fermented in steel tanks in order to preserve the freshness and fruity aromas. Following a brief period of maturing on the lees, the wine was bottled.

Tasting Notes

Pale salmon-pink in colour, this wine shows an attractive floral and red fruit aroma. Its aroma is more reminiscent of a red wine than a rosé. Medium-bodied, great balance of acidity and fruit concentration, it finishes dry with a pleasantly long red fruit character. To be enjoyed at grill parties, picnics and as a refreshing apértif on warm summer days.

Food Pairing

Pair with pork tenderloin with honey sauce, chorizo risotto, or duck terrine.
