Steinig Grüner Veltliner is a wine whose quality stems from excellent grape quality combined with the winemaking expertise of Fritz Miesbauer and Peter Rethaller. The name Steinig means "stony," which reflects the mineral-laden soils from which this wine is grown. The wine itself and the project behind the production of Steinig GV are unique. Motivated young winegrowers from Veltliner country Lower Austria produce classic, traditional and authentic Veltliner under the direction of Fritz Miesbauer who defines strict guidelines for the cultivation of the vineyards and the harvesting of the grapes.

Tasting Notes

Classic, fresh, and reliable Grüner Veltliner typically enjoyed in Austrian homes. Miesbauer's firm and guiding hand together with his approach that values freshness and precision over power and concentration are the defining rationale for the project. Good dependable source fruit, vinified with little skin an oxygen contact results in a wine with low sugar content and no oak influence to interfere with the typical Veltliner aroma.

Food Pairing

This wine is an ideal partner for traditional Austrian meals. It also goes well with pork, chicken, Italian food and Asian Cuisine.
