Agnus Merlot 2013

Lidio Carraro

AGNUS - Representing the lamb, a symbol of purity, joy, and passion, was born from the Winery's purist philosophy and a tribute to the terrior of Encruzilhada do Sul terrior. Made with 100% merlot grapes, harvested in March from the Agnus vineyards, making this a unique wine with nice varietal expression.

Tasting Notes

Agnus Merlot has an exquisite ruby red color and a delicate, complex aroma, with classic Merlot characteristics in its bouquet including red, ripe fruits such as strawberry, raspberry, and black mulberry. The palate will experience balanced, mature tannins, a smooth and harmonious wine which unveils a pleasant fruit taste, and a long finish.

Food Pairing

Agnus Merlot is a versatile wine with regard to gastronomy, and is an excellent complement to pasta, risotto, poultry, barbecue, lamb, duck, beef, mature cheeses, and robust red-sauce dishes.
