La Valle is an idiosyncratic and leading Franciacorta estate founded in 1990. La Valle’s philosophy is to harvest fully ripe grapes and to avoid barrels, malolactic, and high dosage in order to preserve their flavors. The soil at La Valle is ancient and the goal is to express their venerable terroir.

The vineyards of La Valle are situated in Rodengo Saiano where glaciers cut deep into the earth leaving morainic soils that contain a high concentration of fossils. The vineyards lie just 2 kilometers from Lake Iseo which helps to preserve freshness while the grapes reach full physiological ripeness.

“Rosé” Franciacorta Brut is produced only with the best selections from two vineyards of Pinot Nero which are vinified separately in stainless-steel tanks. The Pinot Nero receives a brief maceration on the skins before blending. The wine spends 30 months on the lees and receives a low dosage of 4.5-5g/l at the time of disgorgement.

Tasting Notes

La Valle Rosé is a lively explosion of aromas and flavors, refined and elegant while simultaneously rich and complex. 100% Pinot Nero lends power and structure to the wine and is selected for its intense aroma and flavor. The low dosage gives a very fresh and elegant taste that is very long on the finish.

Food Pairing

“Rosé” Franciacorta Brut is a more powerful wine and consequently can be paired with more flavorful dishes. Dark fish such as salmon and tuna or roasted poultry pair nicely with this wine when they are left simply unadorned. Earthy flavors such as mushrooms, truffles, or raw beets can highlight the wine’s earthy minerality.
